BUILDING PATHOLOGY technical event
The technical event of the Pan-Hellenic Association of Insulation Companies, with the theme "BUILDING PATHOLOGY: DIAGNOSIS - RECONSTRUCTION - UPGRADE" was completed with great success on Saturday, December 7, 2019, in Aigli Zappeion.
The purpose of the workshop was to highlight the need for sustainable upgrading of energy-efficient buildings, taking into account not only the structural features, but also the functional needs and climatic conditions of a building. These three factors are crucial and influence each one of the different energy-saving solutions.
Particular reference was made to the fact that the energy culture is inadequate, which is a hindrance that slows down smart energy management in the construction sector.
The need for synergies between the interdisciplinary sectors (engineers, certified insulators, building materials producers, etc.) was highlighted for a holistic approach to the issue of building upgrades, starting from the diagnosis of pathologies and leading to their complete restoration.
Distinguished speakers who have deepened the issues of building pathologies, developed methodologies and techniques for fully describing and identifying problems, and demonstrated their solutions to achieving energy upgrading.
Innovative energy-efficient indoor air purification systems have been introduced, offering promising future developments.
