In the summer, the garden, the terrace and the balcony are at the spotlihgt. We have already begun to prepare the outdoor spaces to accommodate us in the coming months. Almost in all of Greece, the flooring of outdoor spaces is mainly made of stone. It is inextricably linked with the architectural tradition of our country but also aesthetically enhances the space, offering a sense of warmth and intimacy.

Waterproofing stones

Although it is a hard material, it is very vulnerable to environmental conditions. Humidity, rain, exposure to solar radiation and atmospheric pollutants not only change its appearance but erode the material. The stone has a high absorption index and allows the dirt to penetrate into the interior.

But what can we do to protect it?

It's SurfaPaint Stone Varnish WB. A transparent acrylic coat based on nano-acrylic resin based. Varnish molecules are too small to penetrate to depths greater than conventional polymers, covering each surface pore.

Observe in the picture how the surfaces are not soaked at all by the stains. The liquids form water "pellets" that are removed from the surface just as they do with hydrophobic materials!

The material is completely shielded since it covers not just every millimeter but every nanometer of its surface (the nanometer is one billionth of a meter, that is, the ratio of measure and nanometer is proportional to the relation of earth to an orange). 

The surface becomes impervious to stains and remains unaffected by the weather.

Its gloss is gradually transformed from satin to glossy, depending on the number of layers applied.
