Energy renovation in a passive house
Completed by Andreou Insulation SA, the energy renovation and upgrading of an existing building in Chalkis, Evia to a passive house.
The owner's demand was to extend and upgrade his home to a passive building with almost zero heating and cooling needs.
The system included the installation of:
- External insulation in the walls to which was applied a 20cm thick Thermo Energy Plus graphite and a mosaic coat was applied as a final coating.
- Thermal insulation and roof waterproofing in which the monosi plus system with a 20cm thick Thermo Energy Plus graphite , and a final coating of spray with a special heat-reflecting (cold) paint in the color of the owner's choice.
- Floor fillings with fiber reinforced thermal insulated lightweight concrete Τherbobeto® which it offered low-weight thermal insulation.
- High quality Aluminco's thermal insulating frames, in a color shade of imitation wood , to ensure the owner for the high thermal insulation, excellent watertightness, air-tightness and safety
- In addition, all the exterior walls and the roof of the building were reinforced with 10 cm of mineral wool for thermal insulation but mainly for sound insulation of the building
- All the internal walls were constructed with double plasterboard(gypsum board). In the gap was placed 10cm mineral wool for the sound insulation of the interior.
Written multi-year warranty and technical support
After the completion of the project, as in all the insulation works that have been delivered by Andreou Insulation SA, a book of warranty and technical support was given to the owner.
